Happy Birthday?

According to my horoscope, I'm supposed to start out my 37th year with 7 weeks of good luck, but thus far I'm having difficulty seeing it.  So far I've lost my cell phone, gotten food poisoning & now I appear to have the flu.  The kids have been great, though; Ellen and Tom have been ministering their ailing papa, providing glasses of water, a bowl for barfing in (if necessary), and rather graphic descriptions of how to use it.  Hopefully I'm saving up good karma that will let me coast out the rest of the year. 

Rock the Cradle

We've been sick on and off pretty much throughout the winter, so it's a bit of a triumph when we get the whole family out to an event.   A couple of weeks back we went out to 89.3 The Current's Rock the Cradle with our friends the Wests.  Nothing like seeing your kids on the dance floor twirling around to Love Cats by The Cure. 

First Post

Long time reader, first time poster.  After futzing around updating my raw html web site a couple of days ago (complete with the desperately-hip-for-1997 use of frames) I've decided to move into the mod-ren world.  Technically, this is almost too easy, which makes me think that I might be able to spend my effort saying something interesting.  No such worries on my first post :-).
